MakeMKV Crash - Windows 11

Post by rudydsk@gmail.com » Thu Sep 08, 2022 1:42 pm

Hi,

Since upgrading from MakeMKV v1.17.0 to 1.17.1, my machine reboots during the ripping process. I have only tested it with file based UHD backups (with full folder structure), and it seems to be rebooting the machine at random sections of the UHD. I also tried ripping other UHD files, but I get the same result. I found the following error in the Event Viewer with points to makemkvcon64.exe. As a test, I reverted back to 1.17.0 and the issue has disappeared. It could be related to the operating system (Windows 11), but I thought I would post event log in case it's a bug with the makemkvcon64.exe file:

I have used MakeMKV, on : Windows 10/11/server software, without any issues, and that's the beta that's just gone full. I have had no problems. Probably not what you want to hear, but it should ease your windows 11 worries. Thought about doing a new install?. you didn't stipulate whether your win11 was business or consumer. Hope this helps. If you have any worries about a new install I can help guide you through it. Have a nice day.
