Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

When I encapsulate EAC3/atmos to mp4 by mp4box, the "Complexity ID" change to "Complexity index: Not present / 15"
I was told it would then not be recognized by Apple. (Not atmos but still EAC3 5.1)

mux eac3 / THD / DTSHD to mp4 with ffmpeg first than import with mp4box.

Does that mean you can get base 5.1ac3 + several sky channels wav?

it creates wav file like this and it can be encoded to a new eac3 atmos file in DEE. But i dont see any point doing that. Maybe downsizing 768kbps to 448kbps?

My bad, I just keep thinking get 16 channel PCM from TrueHD/atmos.

mux eac3 / THD / DTSHD to mp4 with ffmpeg first than import with mp4box.

ffmpeg copy eac3/atmos to mp4 breaks "complexity index" in the first place.
mp4box -add eac3/atmos directly from atmos.mp4 also breaks "complexity index".

I have managed to fix/restore "complexity index" by

mp4muxer -i atmos.ec3 -o atmos.mp4
mp4box -add dv.hevc dv.mp4
mp4mux(bento4) --track dv.mp4 --track atmos.mp4 merged.mp4

It has correct media info.
But I have no idea would it trigger atmos successfully.
The guy sending message to me on PLEX forum is just disappeared.

right, I only use FFmpeg for THD and DTS to mp4 then mp4box.
for ec3 its mp4muxer + mp4box

even directly extract from atmos.mp4 will break the "Complexity index".

For example in atmos.mp4 produced by mp4muxer:
Complexity index : 16

I was wondering what other devices (TV's internal player, Bluray player) react to "Complexity index : Not present / 16".
If it's just ATV can't play it as atmos, then Apple is ridiculous.

it works on my TV, i already tried and i never actually noticed that the complexity index was gone after muxing with mp4box. lol

if you look at all the DV mp4 with atmos on rarbg they also are the same.

remuxed the mp4 in tsmuxer or mkvtoolnix and the Complexity index is back to normal, so i dont think it really matters (except for apple as usual haha)

7-1-1 should be fixed. Let me know if you find other bugs in the mp4muxer, I never really use it.

But for LG TV playback i recommend tsmuxer. Faster and playback is more stable than mp4.

There are 2 audiotracks, only the eng was muxed, not the ger.

The correct german forced sub was muxed (luck?) and the TV shows it, but in mediainfo the "forced flag" is set to no. Anyway it's working, so if it's working on every file correctly, thats not a problem.

The ts / m2ts file that tsmuxer creates is not working on the 2016 OLED TV.(When I drag the input mkv file into it and let it mux)

In tsmuxer you can't set a forced flag to subs and converts srt to sub.

If you demux the mkv and you select 7-1-1, you can input any audio (up to 2) and any SRT (up to 2). Just make sure your hevc file doesn't have the same filename/path as the original MKV
for the other mp4muxer workflows, you have to edit the bat file with notepad and set the desired language. I didn't really test that though.

How can I pause the script after demuxing and before muxing?
For example I can editing the subtitles before muxing.

The tags (if it's german or englisch audio "eng" "deu" ect.) of the video / audio / subtitle doesn't work but this is wayne

And the TV is not allowing to REW or FF the mp4 file. It's OK, because I can skip with the arrows.

I don't have this green screen but it says, Can'T play file. Or it plays the HDR10 only.

yea maybe it's the same issue. I remember this was reported in the very early days of the mp4muxer when only dual-layer dolby vision rip was possible.
IIRC it was all the 4000nits P3 BL that had the issue.
