Automatic HK download disabled or failed
Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
No luck for me. I think it has to do with my Unified Security Gateway.
It was working and I did update some firmware a bit ago but I haven't tried a UHD disk until recently. Has no issues with blurays.
Just can't seem to get the keys file.
MakeMKV v1.15.3 win(x64-release) started
Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as C:\Users\r6b/MakeMKV_log.txt
Using LibreDrive mode (v06.2 id=0FA242DD4D0B)
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.

Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
I was able to resolve the issue with USG. It had a geoip block that was in the config but not showing in the UI. I can now access hkdata.fairuse.org but it appears that I still can't get the keys. Looks like the error codes are the same for different UHD disks. Anyone have any ideas? Could this be hardware? Thank you.

Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
Thank you for the heads up on that disk. What luck choosing that one. UHD ripping is now working for me once I got the geoip sorted on my USG.
Thanks to all that replied.

Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
Is there a manual way to emplace the sdf.bin or sdf.dat.gz file _somewhere_ such that MakeMKV will reference it instead of hitting the "download or die" branch?
I've looked around and found various forum posts where Mike has indicated sdf.bin is the file to emplace into the data dir. I've done this and each and every time it's _STILL_ claiming:
MakeMKV v1.17.1 win(x64-release) started
Using LibreDrive mode (v06.3 id=0FA242DD4D0B)
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Downloading latest HK to C:/MKVDATADIR ...
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
Saved AACS dump file as C:/MKVDATADIR/MKB20_v76_DC_Universe_Movie_Green_Lantern-_Beware_My_Power_8DE6.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc
It's not the disk as I had sent that dump to Mike (svq@makemkv.com) per some other forum posts on the 07/26 and there's yet another forum post for this title claiming it works now. But, clearly, not for me. And yes, I do have View -> Preferences -> General -> Online Updates -> Enable Internet access checked. If there is a more specific box that requires checking, please advise as I don't see anything else 'net related in any of the Preferences tabs. Clearly not a 'net connectivity issue since I have curled all of the files w/out issue. As well as ensured the data dir had full access for my local user running MakeMKV.
What is the magical juju incantation required to progress here?

Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
the c main directory may have higher permissions requirements running as admin may help.
but then again looks like it was able to write the tgz
sdf and hk are different sdf is libre drive hk is the keys to decrypt the movies
try using a vpn isps are annoying they might still be blocking it even with your own dns

Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
It's not you. There has to be an issue with the server. Everything was working fine on my system and stopped working and nothing on my network has changed.PrimalNaCl wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 9:06 pmIs there a manual way to emplace the sdf.bin or sdf.dat.gz file _somewhere_ such that MakeMKV will reference it instead of hitting the "download or die" branch?...

I've even tried in different locations on different computers, PC & Mac, with completely different network configurations with and without a firewall, nothing works.
Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
Can confirm, hash key downloading is currently not working for me either. :/
Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
can also confirm
Code: Select all
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
Try again now. I got a newer UHD disc to rip. Maybe it is back online.

Re: Automatic HK download disabled or failed
Having an issue today. https://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin gives a CloudFlare error saying makemkv.com isn't responding with the file. Anyone have a recent copy? Can't rip Super Mario Bros without the latest file.
