I just wanted to make sure I didn't want to downgrade the firmware and mess up the recorder.
All the best.

Hardware is (pre-Oct 2015) too old to support UHD & the current FW supports LibreDrive. Best to leave it be.jeaveci55 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 2:41 pmHello, (sorry for my english)

I just got a BP60NB10 with 1.02 firmware and SVC: NB12.
What are the benefits of flashing the firmware on this drive, and how would I go about doing it (I see several warnings about NB12)?
If you want to be able to rip UHD discs with your drive, flash it to BP60NB10 1.02-MK and that's it.xbmchermit wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 4:03 amI've tried reading earlier in this forum, but I just can't seem to piece together what I need to do.

Most likely yes. Most firmware versions for those Pioneer models are supported. Occasionally someone will have one of those models with an older (or extremely new) firmware that may need updating via Pioneer's firmware updater. You will know as soon as you try opening a disc in MakeMKV.Renovatio wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 1:58 pmHello, forgive me if I missed the point entirely but could you kindly tell me what does the section "drives that Currently work are:" mean?
Does it mean that any of the drives listed under that section, for example BDR-XD07UHD Slim, will be able to rip 4K discs with MakeMKV out of the box and no flashing/ decrypting or whatever is necessary?
Thank you
Not sure let use know so we can put it on list if it does.
