Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I’m not sure I’m experiencing this bug. LG CX with Sony X700 and Shield Pro 2019. Testing the videos back and forth (ts on Sony and mp4 on Shield) I could easily see the changes on both. The shield might look slightly better but I easily see them as well on the x700.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Interesting thought,
A majority of my Dolby Atmos DV discs have 7.1 and DD+ can do 7.1 Unless i missed the memo that DV MP4 or TS files doesnt like 7.1, why aernt we using it if Dolby Atmos or Dolby True HD tracks are in 7.1 and the Dolby Scripts downgrades it to 5.1?
why are we losing those two channels cause i do have a system that can do 7.1 and DD+ can have 7.1?
??????

please try the cmv4.0 version on your Shield(or TV internal player) and tell us if you get L8 reaction.

DEE does but I'm not able to get 7.1 audio from my C2 internal player to my AVR (might be because my avr is ARC)
Also, the 7.1 EC3 from bluray disc doesnt work, it plays the 5.1 core on my C8/C2.
Sorry for my English.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
That is not true. ffmpeg supports:
7.1 trueHD/atmos copy
7.1 trueHD, flac, PCM copy and encoding
6.1 alac encoding
7.1 eac3/atmos copy
5.1 eac3 encoding
5.1 ac3 encoding
I’m not familiar with all the DTX sound.
ARC should be able to do 7.1 eac3/atmos at best, through HDMI 2.0RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 10:56 amDEE does but I'm not able to get 7.1 audio from my C2 internal player to my AVR (might be because my avr is ARC)
7.1 eac3 without atmos through HDMI 1.3
eARC is only needed for TrueHD and PCM In case anyone want this, it's from https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/106809463. I don't own it.

How old are we talking about? I got LG Electronics OLED55B7A in 2018, do I need to worry about this issue?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 1:31 amC9 has the old DV engine so you don't have this problem.deadchip12 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 12:59 amI'm using the recently purchased x700 with the lg c9 oled and it sucks if it turns out the x700 is unusable again.

7.1 EC3 with a core plays fine but only the 5.1 core.
btw , the answer to your hybrid rpu question is also in my script . there's tutorial video. they were made with an older version of the script though.

eac3 can have a core? I don't know that, I thought only TrueHD should have a core.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:58 amwell 7.1 EC3 without a core doesn't work on my C8/C2 + ARC AVR , so I don't know

Ugh ... I've just unboxed my x800m2 and I can confirm the bug on the LG C1. The LG C1 internal player looks fine.
