Can the MakeMKV_log file help me understand WHY a disc failed?

I'm saving the new BD of Raging Bull from Criterion and all titles have failed multiple times. It's a brand-new disc and I see nothing wrong on the disc surface but have wiped it down anyway. I updated to the latest MakeMKV version (1.17.1 on MacOS) and have restarted my computer (since that's helped before.)

The main feature seems to fail about 30-ish minutes into the estimated 43 minute process, and all of the bonus features fail immediately.

I haven't seen anything about there being defective discs (though it's still pretty new), it plays fine on VLC (though supplements don't seem to), and a spot check seems to show that it all works fine on my BD player.

Would the MakeMKV_log.txt file tell me anything about why it is failing and what could be done to help it?
