My goal is to rip my collection into MKV and only transcoding if the codecs are one of the undesired ones. Because I don't care about file size this is the easiest way. I've been playing with getting the created MKV to stream via many options on windows. Tversity, twonky, mezzmo, samsung pc share, more.
I recently discovered that MKVs will not stream unless I run MKCLEAN on them. MKVALIDATE shows many issues in the file format. I've tried 1.60, 1.64, 1.65.
It seems like there is an issue with the way MakeMKV is creating the files.
Has anybody else noticed this?
thanks,

MKV file format from makeMKV appears to be incorrect
Re: MKV file format from makeMKV appears to be incorrect
the really interesting part is that my samsung un55c8000 tv will not play the makeMKV output without running mkclean on it.
I've tried twonky 5.x and 6.x. and tversity 1.8, 1.9.x
there is something that is wrong here.
