Hi,
Long term user, first time poster here.
Since the update to v1.17.0 I'm having an issue when creating MKV's, both from VOB files and directly from DVD discs. The program reads the discs / VOB files fine as usual, but then the process fails at the 'Analyzing Seamless Segments' stage, and the program crashes with the error 'Fatal error occurred, program will now exit'.
I'm running the program on Windows 10, and have never had any issues with previous versions of MakeMKV. I've tried many different VOB files, and DVD's, but the crash still occurs.
Any help would be very much appreciated, and thank you for all your work...this program is an amazing tool! I'm lost without it!

Thanks d00zah, but I've tried all these opening modes, and still have the same problem.
Re: v1.17.0 - Crashes at 'Analyzing Seamless Segments'
Unsure how closely this is related, but Mike is looking for feedback related to a v1.17.0 bug.
He's obviously monitoring the forum, so let's see if this piques his interest?

Thanks again d00zah, hopefully Mike will be able to get to the bottom of the issues.

Update:
After a bit of experimenting with settings, it seems the issue causing MakeMKV to crash was the audio profile.
In the past, I have always set this to AAC, which has worked perfectly for me, however in V1.17.0, it now crashes the programme. Leaving the profile set to Default thankfully seems to work now. I have not changed any other settings.
I normally run on Windows 10, but I also tried installing MakeMKV on my Mac Mini too, and had exactly the same crashing issue with AAC.
Very strange - is this a bug with the latest version, which will be fixed?
Thanks!

Further Update...
Unfortunately, the solution above works for DVD's, but not Blu-Ray's.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, this is a confirmed bug. The (Windows and Mac OS) program crashes decoding (some) Dolby Digital (AC3) audio streams. Regression in 1.17.0
The 1.17.1 with the fix will be out in a day or two.

If you need logs, I have the same issue. I ended up reinstalling 1.16.7 and the problem went away. The disc I was ripping was "The Northman". I have attached both the failure log as well as the one from 1.16.7 which succeeded, if that helps. I fear that the log from the 1.17 didn't write much at the point where it has "Fatal error".
