i tried to do the beta key but it didn't work for me. What am i doing wrong?

You say "doesn't work", but you don't say what you did.

Did you use the new key from the website, or from the software download?

I got the key from this site. I just copied and paste it in the registration i got a message saying invalid

You got the key from viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053 , correct? That should be the current key, issued two months after the key in the original file.

What exact message are you getting? The current key (from the message) is good through the end of July, and 1.16.7 should accept it. What you're describing should not be happening.

You probably already saw this but a double click will not copy the entire code due to the second character "-". Use a triple click to get the full key.
