Improving slow read speed

Hello

Firstly, I think MakeMKV is great and would be purchasing it if I could resolve my read speed issue.......

I have an LG BH10LS30 Internal Blu Ray drive but only seem to be able to get a Read Rate of 2.4 M/s [0.5x] so creating any .MKVs is a long process (2-3 hours).

In an effort to improve this I updated the F/W on the drive but this does not seem to have done anything.

What's the best way to approach this?

With properly patched firmware with mediaspeededit you should get read speeds close to 30 MB/sec with this drive. What OS are you using?
