WH16NS60 only reads/writes bluray

Hello,

I have an WH16NS60 in an external enclosure at the moment.

I am unable to read or write to dvd/cd media. Bluray movies and burning Bluray data discs works fine.
I have tried multiple pcs (internal and external connections) and different movies/cds/dvds.
There are no odd noises or errors seen in the logs on my windows workstations.
If I put the media in a DVD writer, I can read that media no problem.
I can read/write Bluray media just fine using the WH16NS60.

I'd like to use the WH16NS60 drive for backing up the rest of my non-Bluray media. Anyone else have an issue using it with non-Bluray media?
