So, I made a family BD in Roxio Toast with many kid performances over the years, and besides burning several physical discs, I'd also like to convert that disc (menu and all) to an MKV file. The problem is, than instead of getting one MKV file, each performance is saved as an individual MKV file.
Is there any want to get one MKV file rather than 42 files?
Many thanks!
Jim

You can do a folder backup instead that will keep menus
And if you really want it to be a single file instead of a folder you can use img burn to make it an iso

Thank you very much for the reply! I am aware of these two other options already. Does that mean there is no way to do what I want? I literally just want one MKV file. Thank you.

No I don't think you can do that

Ok, thanks for your time and help.
Re: 1 MKV File vs Many Files?
You could merge all videos into one MKV file and place chapters so you can jump towards specific parts of it.
But MKV doesn't support any kind of menus to click onto things.

Ok great! After I use MakeMKV to “rip” my disc and get 42 individual mkv files what do I do?
Re: 1 MKV File vs Many Files?
You can use MKVToolNix to append each .mkv file to the previous one. You could do it in the GUI, but it's faster using mkvmerge from the command line. Documentation is in the Help file.
