M2TS to MKV

One issue issue I'm coming up with, seems makeMKV cannot read the M2TS file.

This is from a rip right off the disc. Not encrypted. I don't think this program is meant just to be used for discs, as I have been using it for years to convert many files to MKV. Who touches medium anymore?

What did you rip it with?
Most people who use makemkv use discs we hate them but we use them that's where m2ts files come from

Working directly with the M2TS files is not a good idea. You loose metadata (stream/subtitle language) and chapter informations.

And doesn't work really well on movies whose main playlist is split onto several dozens of M2TS files.
