4K UHDs & Intel 12th Gen CPU's
I'm in the early stages of upgrading my PC and am considering a 12th Gen Intel CPU. I've seen news about them recently where you can't playback 4K UHD's on that platform due to the removal of SGX (Software Guard Extensions). Can anyone on here confirm if they can still rip 4K UHD discs with a 11/12th gen Intel chip? If it helps, I'm using an external Asus BW-16D1H on Windows 10.

If you use "official software", you are limited.
If you use other software, you are not limited. Software like VLC and similar don't require that you run "official" media support, so they'll work with newer files.
