Failure to eject drive and app becomes unresponsive

I noticed several times after a rip, I click the drive eject button on the UI, and nothing happens.
The UI starts counting down waiting for the operation to complete, but the drive is never ejected.
If I click the cancel button, the countdown continues.
If I close the app, it exists, but the console child process stays running.
I have to manually terminate the makemkvcon64.exe process.
