Yes, I'd think so too. Thinking of this new option, any other track that's on the disc? For example, a commentary track you really like?

I couldnt make a 32kbps track and thdmerge would not process a 40kbps track but it seems to work at 64kbps. Hopefully, the track still play on my x800m2

Why not just create a 64kbps or 128kbps ac3 track from the original audio? Or use the core ac3?

that would require encoding. With the 4h silent track, I can use it for any movie without having to re-encode.

@gacopl would it be possible for you to make this script for windows powershell/cmd? I was looking for just that, as I use plex on LG B1/C1 and other devices, so AC3/EAC3 is a must for direct stream with subtitles (LG).

Nope I am Linux guy and I think there are tools for windows already. Anyways you should be able to use it with WSL2

That error comes from newest mp4box you need to have version 1.0.1 installed then it will be fine

I've download it to my PC, but I cannot run it.

This is for linux not windows it's meant to be put on your mediaserver/NAS whatever, follow the steps from README to install all needed stuff
You can also run it in virtual machine with linux

when you manually edit L5. You enter just 260...
in manual modes, it only edit top/bottom which means if your video has right and left borders, you have to use the AUTO-L5 workflows.

The new version that I'll upload today will include:
- Support input files with space and special characters
- New workflows that fix invalid L6 metadata in some p5 web-dl (> 10 000)
- New workflows that can remove HDR10plus when injecting DV ( for the firestick TV)
- Now the output filename will be the input filename instead of just " P8.hevc"

so if i wanna convert my raw blueray files with dolby vision to a single layer what is the best use atm?
It is for use on a shield tv pro with plex and a LG tv
i used to use yuescope tool,but is their something else out their now or something better?

Has anyone done a P5 to BD remux for West Side Story? I am measuring the top and bottom L5 areas and I have checked it 5 different times. My eyes may be deceiving me, but I am not getting equal numbers for the top and bottom areas.

Measuring 280 for the top and 276 for the bottom. Am I losing it?

the dv web-dl is not cropped so it probably already has proper L5.
you only have to edit L5 when the web-dl is cropped.

I dont have this movie remux but if i look at the scene encode, it's 1608px so 276/276

you don't need tsmuxer for the Shield. Use Mkvtoolnix or makemkv
