Ok , will try to do that . If possible can you reshare your dovi tool ? If its still under developemnt , can understand!
Yes, it's not finished yet and most importantly I'm still learning how to write a script but I think most of the workflows/modes are working now. There might be some typo that makes some workflow to fails, I didn't test all yet.

https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/fold ... L2KFZWTqKr
also, the tutorial videos are outdated a bit compared to the script.

When I connect the usb hard drive that contains movies into the x700, can I cut/copy/paste movies' files from folders to folders directly on the x700? Because based on what discussed here, the bluray folder of a movie needs to be placed in the root folder of the hard drive in order to be played without issues on the x700, so if I want to switch to another movie I have to do some cut/paste between folders, and I don't want to have to unplug the hard drive from the x700 and plug it into my pc everytime for that.

@RESET_9999 Thank you for the comprehensive script. I have a question regarding MaxCLL and MaxFALL values assigned to the RPU, when working from a madVR HDR measurement file. Should the MaxCLL and MaxFALL values be pulled from the measurement file or manually assigned? I have some HDR10 files that do not list MaxCLL or MaxFALL values, when viewing with MediaInfo. I'm in the habit of leaving these values set to "0" and allowing them to be set from the measurement file.

I asking because the "MODE.madVR.TO.DoVi.workflow.8" option seems to be overriding them, in the case when they are set to "0". I modified the script a bit by removing the L6 "editor" lines and injected the original "%output_path%rpu.bin" created. This allowed the MaxCLL and MaxFALL values to be from the measurement file.

Is this the expected behavior or should they be set to "0"?
yeah, I'm not sure about that one...
it's probably better to use the metadata from madvr measurements. I still have work to do in the madvr to dovi workflows.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed but TSMuxer was recently updated to properly handle TrueHD audio now. So no need to demux or convert anymore.
not sure what you mean

well if you use a bluray player like the x800m2 / x700 / oppo, you still have to add an ac3 core otherwise the TrueHD wont work but soon tsmuxer should be able to generate a silent core and merge it like THDMERGE.exe does.

I guess we could encode a 4h silent ac3 core and use it for any movie (in case the mkv doesnt have an AC3 compatibility track)
Yes, I'd think so too. Thinking of this new option, any other track that's on the disc? For example, a commentary track you really like?
I couldnt make a 32kbps track and thdmerge would not process a 40kbps track but it seems to work at 64kbps. Hopefully, the track still play on my x800m2
here's 4h of silent 5.1 AC3 audio at 64kbps.

EDIT: it works on the x800m2 !!!!!

Why not just create a 64kbps or 128kbps ac3 track from the original audio? Or use the core ac3?
Cheers :D

that would require encoding. With the 4h silent track, I can use it for any movie without having to re-encode.

@gacopl would it be possible for you to make this script for windows powershell/cmd? I was looking for just that, as I use plex on LG B1/C1 and other devices, so AC3/EAC3 is a must for direct stream with subtitles (LG).
Nope I am Linux guy and I think there are tools for windows already. Anyways you should be able to use it with WSL2

https://github.com/gacopl/dvmkv2mp4
I tried to troubleshoot it myself but with no luck. Anyone run into this issue as well ?
Trying to convert Profile 7 BL_RPU_EL single track mkv to mp4
That error comes from newest mp4box you need to have version 1.0.1 installed then it will be fine

Tell me how to setup and run your script.
I've download it to my PC, but I cannot run it.
This is for linux not windows it's meant to be put on your mediaserver/NAS whatever, follow the steps from README to install all needed stuff
You can also run it in virtual machine with linux

@RESET_9999 Wow! You're really improving your DoVi_Scripts. What is the correct input to edit the L5 data? "260/260" or "260 260"? (Forward slash or space or something else) I'm getting an error when attempting to set a custom L5 value and not when "cropping". "MODE.madVR.TO.DoVi.workflow.2"

when you manually edit L5. You enter just 260...
in manual modes, it only edit top/bottom which means if your video has right and left borders, you have to use the AUTO-L5 workflows.

The new version that I'll upload today will include:
- Support input files with space and special characters
- New workflows that fix invalid L6 metadata in some p5 web-dl (> 10 000)
- New workflows that can remove HDR10plus when injecting DV ( for the firestick TV)
- Now the output filename will be the input filename instead of just " P8.hevc"
