Makemkv Backups Blu-ray only?

Does the backup functionality work on only Blu-rays?

Tried the Wall-E Disc 1 DVD and it's greyed out when the disc is read but when read The Force Awakens Disc 1 Blu-ray it will backup just fine.

I am wondering whether it's just the Wall-E disc that's incompatible with the backup function...

Correct.

The author added BD backup because, at the time, DVD playback from ISO (easy to create) was common, but Bluray wasn't.
