Same exact issue for me as well, I'm also running Win7 64-bit.
Tried re-installing in Admin mode but received same error.

Please navigate to the folder where MakemKV is installed, run

Code: Select all

makemkvcon info disc:0
and see if any errors show up.

Thanks for the fix!

I got the error with 1.6.5.
win7 64 bit.

killed a previous makemkv process that was still running.
Uninstalled makemkv.
cleaned registry.
installed, and working again.

Because MakeMKV is a hybrid application, both 32-bit and 64-bit. You may install it to any location.
