is makemkv still free?

i have been using makemkv for years. Now I need to buy a registration key to get it to work. I downloaded the previous version and the program told me it was too old and would not work. I made a new PC last month and reloaded makemkv beta. I may already have a registration key but have lost it. Is there a free version?

Nope.... I do not think there is a free version now which is quite sad.

It is still free. You just use the beta key.
