UHD aside, unless I misread Mike's initial post, I thought it would now support LibreDrive as one of the RS8xxx drives. My experience with an older BDR-XD05 on the RS8231 platform is similar:

You should verify that you have internet access allowed since Makemkv needs to update sdf.bin to version 81. If you enable debug you can see which version is used when you rip a disc. If you have version 81 then it needs more work for Mike.

Just pushed the update, SDF v82 . It uses a new discovery method, that bypasses USB enclosures that damage the inquiry data. The Slim 'Optiarc' should work now...

I don't have 1.00 firmware. We would need to dump the full firmware over the internet, takes about 15 minutes. Please PM me or email me for details.

Yeah, it is the firmware. My S12-UHT with 1.00 works fine.

Mike needs a dump of your 1.01 firmware to add support. Please contact him and he can extract it from the drive online. Only takes about 15 minutes.
Cheers :D

I don't want to push it but are firmware dumps using DVRTool OK or is additional info required?
