Core dump trying to rip some Lord of the Rings disks

Post by Lost Dog » Mon Jan 10, 2022 6:52 pm

I recently picked up the 4k UHD Lord of the Rings set. After many trials, finally got all the disks backed up (full disk backup). I'm now ripping the main feature mkv but several of the backups crash (it's also reproducible with the actual disk).

This is on Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon and MakeMKV v1.16.5. I've looked at the Debug dump page (https://www.makemkv.com/onlinehelp/dump.html) but linux is not listed.

I wonder if you have the issue described in this thread? viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17268&start=15

Huh. That's it!

Setting the custom java to /bin/true made it work! I'd love to see this fixed and would be happy to test any fixes...
