UHD Drive Not Working

I have a LG WH16NS60 optical drive for my PC. I went to rip my first 4K disc today in makeMKV and it doesn't work.

Is there a way to get this drive to work or do I need a different drive?

Did you flash it show us your makemkv drive info

No, I did not flash it. I don't even understand what that means. Here is a screenshot of the drive info in makeMKV.

Can you please provide me the steps to get the drive working.

Either read the guide below or email me for an automated flasher you have to flash your drive to do UHD.

The guide you provided is unclear, incredibly long and non specific to my drive.

What is an automated flasher and what exactly would I need to do, other than pay $25?

Also, is this a one time thing? For example, if I format my PC and reinstall windows, does it need to be done again? Can windows update undo the changes made to the drive?

The flash is permanent windows won't undo it with update or reinstalls

All drives need to be flashed that may change soon but for now all need to be flashed
