Ripping a Movie that Has 2 DVD Discs

I was ripping a handful of my own DVDs today with no issues. However, I have this DVD disc set called The Ten Commandments - 50th Anniversary Set'

I can rip the first disc and it works fine but the second disc gets ripped fine too except it will not appear on my Plex app or the Plex website. I did make sure the .mkv have distinctive names but it's not working.

Does anyone have an idea what I might be doing wrong?

Did you make sure the metadata name is different? MakeMKV can set them different if you know if advance that you need to do it, but you can edit the MKV header with the header editor in mkvtoolnix to make it unique as far as Plex (or other DLNA server) is concerned.

I don't use Plex, but both parts of this movie show up just find on my machines.

Thank you for responding. I did figure out that when using Plex it sometimes does not recognize some 2-disc movies and the work around is to name the movie with 'pt1.mkv' and 'pt2.mkv'. In my case, I named as follows:

The_Ten_Commandments_pt1.mkv
The_Ten_Commandments_pt2.mkv

I don’t know how off top of my head using makemkv or related tool sets (mkvtoolnix) but i ripped 2 blurays to folders and joined the two playlists or transport streams into one file with tsmuxer before I started using makemkv.

Just use mkvtoolnix to merge both into a single mkv file.
