I have not been able to get my mkv file to provide Dolby Vision and Atmos to my TV and Receiver.
So I backed up the entire 4k Blu ray as folders with all the streams in the BDMV folder
I was able to play the stream file .m2ts file direct from my Sony UBPX800M2 with connected SSD drive (NTFS) into my A80J tv and Atmos on my Onkyo tx-nr797.
Dolby Vision displays on my TV and Atmos on my receiver.
If anyone has gotten the mkv file to perform the same please let me know. Thank you

Re: 4K UHD Dolby Vision and Atmos Working
you have to find out if your TV/receiver support DV in a MKV container.
I have a LG C1 and it only supports DV through a MP4 container.

If it's an mkv specific issue, then it's nothing to do with the TV or receiver. Matroska doesn't get sent over HDMI. It's your playback device/software which has to understand DV in mkv. The receiver and TV do both need to support DV and DA though, of course.
I find that converting dolby vision metadata to Profile 8 (Single channel, dual layer, HDR10 compatible) produces the best results.
