Posting the tgz file *also* to the forum is a very good idea because it allows people to see exactly what version was posted (many movies have multiple versions and with only 4 hex digits as a disambiguator, there could be multiple versions with the same name), and also when my tgz file exactly matches somebody else's, it shows (and provides peace of mind) that there is no personally-identifiable information being uploaded.
But yes, *only* posting to forum delays processing. Do both.
