Post by kuro2K20 » Wed Oct 20, 2021 8:08 pm

Hi everyone,
can anyone help me figure something out ? :-D

I have a Logitec brand UHD burner which is in fact a Pioneer BDR-UD04 !

It recognizes my UHD movies, I have access to all the content on the UHD Blu-Ray disc and yet it is not compatible with Make MKV !

Some informations :

Date micrologiciel : 2017-04-25
Marqueurs d'encryptage bus : 1B
Version AACS la plus haute : 68

LibreDrive Information
Status: Might be supported in future, keep fingers crossed
Drive platform: Pioneer RS8A10
Firmware version: GENE

Do you think it is possible to make it compatible a day
or is it definitely dead concerning the Pioneer brand burner ???

Thanks ^^

Pioneer drives are "Official UHD", which means they won't let you rip UHD disks at this time.

Any chance later ?

What gets stuck in the end with Pioneer burners ?

Pioneer drives have a pretty good reputation for burning disks, better than the "UHD-friendly" drives out there. So if you're burning AND ripping, you would want both.

Those of us who own UHD-official Pioneer drives are still hoping for Mike or someone else to make LibreDrive-capable firmware. Mike thinks he can do it, but we've been waiting for over a year already.

I have both ! ^^

2x Asus BW-16D1HT, 1x Pioneer BDR-UD04 and 2x Pioneer BDR-S09XLT ! ;)

To avoid wearing out my burners too quickly, I use my Asus to rip, and my Pioneer to burn ... ^^
