Forum SSL certificate is not trusted

I notice that the thread reply email notifications I get use HTTPS.

E.g.

And when visiting the HTTPS site, I get a certificate warning.
It seems that the SSL certificate is not signed by a trusted root.

The error is:
"This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store."

This is true, this site uses a self-signed certificate. As for notifications it looks like a forum bug.
