Dune 1984 4K UHD Arrow Video

Figured I'd start a thread for anyone who comes searching, to say that MakeMKV supports this title.

It's a BD-100, was able to back it up without any issues.
Using: ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.00

Zavvi hasn't even shipped my copy yet. They delayed it from end of August to... saying it should be here now-ish, but no shipping notification. WTF?

I have an ASUS BW-16. The 4k disk of Dune failed to open in windows and in MakeMKV. Make mkv was stating SCSI errors and my drive sounded like it was confusing. Other 4k disks work and 1080p disks work. The disk does play in a 4k player.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just successfully ripped the DUNE (1984) 4K disks (I used a LG Burner, with the old [1.0.2] firmware).

Everything seems fine, EXCEPT for a "weird" video anomaly on/with the [entry] Menu screen.

It looks like a Color "Bar," at the very bottom of the screen.

Other than that one minor [annoying] thing, the rip looks about 95-97% OK

My 2 Cents.

Mine did finally arrive on 27 September. I'm re-attempting ripping it, because it has been... difficult. Neither my WH16NS60 nor my BU40N would rip it, but I finally got Windows going on actual hardware so I could update the firmware on my drives. I was able to verify that the disc played on actual UHD Blu-ray Disc players (worked on my Oppo UDP-203, my Sony UBP-X700, and my PlayStation 5 without issue). It's now ripping in my BU40N, and seems to be going okay this time so... fingers crossed.

Edit: Success, finally!
