I use OSX (Big Sur) for ripping my DVDs.
I've ripped many DVDs, I generally save them as .ISO files to have a master image, then use MakeMKV to
make the MKVs from the ISOs. The MKVs go into my Plex server running on a Synology NAS.
I have a small number of BluRay discs in my collection, but I've never tried ripping any.
I generally use Mac DVD Ripper Pro, and MacX DVD Ripper Pro for DVDs, but I have no software to make ISO files from my Blu-Ray discs.
When I try using MakeMKV on a BR, I don't have the option to save it as an ISO file.
What software do you use for making full-disc images of BR discs?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks.
Imgburn doesn't run on MacOS. Can anyone recommend a program for Mac?
I havent been able to get makemkv to copy my br discs, too many erros are shown in makemkv (but the discs play normally). The MacOS version of makemkv has been very problematic for me.

https://www.google.com/search?&q=macos+create+iso
google says...
You can use Disk Utility to create ISO images in Mac OS X:
- Click “New Image+” on the tool bar.
- For “Image Format” select “CD/DVD Master”
- For “Encryption” leave it at “none”
- Rename the resulting . cdr file to . iso.

Thanks.

Yes, google doesn't tell you what SW is actually reliable and what isn't. That's why I like to hear about referrals from people who know better that knows works and what doesn't.

Since it referenced a MacOS 'native' tool, I'm afraid I assumed "reliable"... sorry. Still, it's worth a try while you await further input?
Re: New to ripping BR discs. How to make a BR image (ISO) ?
I will try it overnight since the BRs take so long to process.
