i could get 2 drives for an reasonable price but I'm not sure if these are flashable to UHD friendly drives.
Maybe one of you could help me

Is it easy to flash?
$25 as listed in my post
from my tests the bu40n is better than the asus.Freaky69 wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 9:13 am I will hopefully get an actual picture from the drive (if the seller will response to my mail).
After that i will post the picture what FW is installed on the drive.
then we can talk about the self flash kit
Nevertheless i would like to know is there a fw available which isn't flashable?
Is the BU40N better than the ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.01?
I got the ASUS and sometimes it is very slow and produces Read errors but my standalone UHD Player (Panasonic) plays the disc fine!
you are possibly wrong on the firmware as i said follow the guide or email me for a kit when you get the driveFreaky69 wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 9:38 am Thanks a lot Billy,
isn't it possible to use the Tool from Marty to flash the drive?
SDFTOOL with the DE_LG_BU40N_1.00 firmware?
This should be the easiest way, or am i wrong?
But as I said your method to go directly to 1.00 de won't workBillycar11 wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 9:31 am
