Windows 10 HDR & color format settings

So now that I have these great HDR UHD rips on disk, I'm pondering all the Windows 10 settings that might affect playback. The ones I am particularly worried about:
  • Refresh rate
  • Color format
  • Bit depth
For example, I noticed that my OLED won't stay in HDR mode if the refresh rate is 120 Hz. Also, I don't want to miss any color depth that is in the source MKVs, but the PC community seems divided on whether players can/will upgrade the color format during playback, or whether users should mess with those settings in the Nvidia control panel.

Thoughts? Current settings are attached.
