Which Ugoos device are we purchasing?
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You can just use the decrypted original folder back, too, then without any extra remuxing, no? Any way to possibly do this over the network or USB only?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:32 amyou drag and drop the correct mpls file into tsmuxer and create a new bluray structure.deadchip12 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:15 amWhat if the movie is already in bdmv structure, then which files do we put in tsmuxer?
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Can confirm it works and it's awesome to have an untouched blu-ray folder structure! I tested with Mission Impossible Fallout and it worked perfectly with no hiccups or freezes. FF, chapters, and everything else are smooth and super fast! Great discovery!deadchip12 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:33 amAwesome. I tried Mission Impossible Fallout with the remuxing method and it worked perfectly. But now that you mentioned this, I am wondering if what you are saying can also work. It seems easier to drag and drop a decrypted folder versus going through Tsmuxer.shawnc22 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:54 amYou can just use the decrypted original folder back, too, then without any extra remuxing, no? Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
This is the first thing I tried...
you have to remux with tsmuxer. you can't keep the original structure with the menu.
Huge downside though, It only works if the folders are in the root of the USB drive(no network) so I don't think you can use this method with more than 1 movie on a drive. Can be handy for long movies that you can't usually FF when in TS container.
even though the folder is really named BDMV, the x700 sees it as an AVCHD structure:

I wonder why the Blu-Ray community has not hacked the Sony X700 player. It seems like a very capable player. It handles pretty much anything you throw at it ( except the MKV since its something new and I doubt it will ever support it )RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 3:13 amThis is the first thing I tried...

With Plex, the 23.976 works too and more DV format supports than Kodi (but no HD audio).RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:22 pmthanks, will try that...mattmarsden wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:09 pm
Use the Kodi DV build and it will do all framerates correctly.
EDIT: yep 23.976 works with kodi .. phew!

Same, I have both.DaMacFunkin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 6:05 amIs the Minix neo running Ugoos firmware a better buy hardware wise or are they the same build quality?

Wait, hold up... So you mean this only works when that hard drive contains nothing but that movie's folders?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 3:13 amThis is the first thing I tried...

Makes me wonder if there's a hacky way of having multiple films by building a structure with each film being a separate chapter (yes it would mess up chapters in each individual movie)RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 3:13 amThis is the first thing I tried...

you can have other files/folders in the hdd but only one bluray folder structure in the root will trigger DV.deadchip12 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 7:26 am
