M2TS to MKV keeping Dolby Vision

I tried mkvtoolnix but it doesnt work. Ive searched the net for a bit but it keeps sending me back here. Is there a setting im missing or can this be done?

Recent versions of MakeMKV automatically preserve Dolby Vision (if present). The most recent version of MediaInfo (version 20.09: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo) can even interpret this correctly and show the presence of Dolby Vision data in a .mkv file.

I just have a .m2ts file. Backing up my discs with makemkv works perfect with DV. I was trying to use tsmuxer to make it a bluray folder structure so makemkv could read it but it seems to strip the DV out. im trying to figure out what im doing wrong.
