TV series disc not showing individual episodes?

Basically ripping a TV boxset to play via plex. The first 6 series all had individual episodes to rip which was easy. However the last 3 series only seems to have the play all file where all the episodes are together instead of the single episodes. I've never experienced this before so was wondering if there's anything I can do to get round the problem?

Not all that unusual. Can be really "phun" when they put 50 or more episodes in a single playlist (Standard definition on a BD).

The fix is to split them after the rip. I do it with handbrake, because EVERYTHING goes through handbrake before it gets dropped on the media server. But, it can be done with mkvmerge from the MKVtoolnix tool collection.

The break points are almost always near a chapter transition.
