BU40N not reading all discs

I've recently got a used BU40N which I flashed with a 1.03MK and then to 1.04MK. And its behaving weird. I tried some random blueray disc I found lying around and it works 30GB is normally read and I can rip it. But then I tried Zootopia disc both 1080p and 4K and drive is not even registering a disc calming that no disc is inserted.

I tried downgrading to 1.01MK already but it's the same problem. It can't be a laser right? It's reading another blueray normally. And its not only UHD since it can't read other disc too.

I should probably note that I am using this drive in some old laptop I found lying around since I don't have an USB adapter yet. Can it be some power issue?

Do anyone has any ideas what the cause could be?

I have the same problems with an archgon bu40n firmware 1.00.
Drive is 2 days old

Have 3 different UHD disks always tried error read between 20 and 30 GB.
UHD Movies:
Tenet
King Arthur
Justice League

Also tried several platforms.
Windows 10
Big Sur MacOS

but only the MKV software 1.15.4

I also set the disk speed to code "0 = 8"
set but unfortunately exactly the same mistakes.

Are you connecting both USB's on the y-cable? or using the USB-C cable?
Also, try rolling MakeMKV back to v1.15.2

The L drive remains off with both USB connections of the Y-cable. I don't have USB-C for testing.

Version 1.15.2 same problems as with version 1.15.4

All good.
It was just the discs.
Today Tenet exchanged a new disk ran without problems.

UHD disks are very sensitive.
