LG BU40N help please

Post by Jeppe »

I bought this drive from Alex Coluzzi - Slim Sized LG BU40N Optical Drive w/LibreDrive Mod in a -Vantec Slim Optical Drive SATA > USB Enclosure.

I have been trying to rip movies, but to my frustration I havent made it work. I have attached a few screenshots hoping someone may be able to help me out.

Your issue is not specific to the drive - you do not have the decryption key for the movie(s) you're trying to rip.

Are you getting any messages at the start that indicate if the hash key file was downloaded, or if it failed?

(text logs are far better than screen shots)

Same here with my HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03 (so I tried to flash t0 1.03MK, but is this not necessary??).

I tried to rip Dark Knight and Prestige, same Error occurs.

Sorry the problem is solved. It turned out the drive didnt get enough power from just one usb plug. Plugged both in and it worked. By advice from Billy.
