General Issues with Windows version and external LG Blu Ray drive

I'm not sure where to post this but I am seeing some strange behavior with the application. I posted in a previous topic with issues regarding the MakeMKV backup process bombing because it loses connection with the drive. At first, I thought that was a windows 10 issue. But, I have used the USB drive with numerous apps since to copy and/or duplicate the disc and they never lose connection (this includes *.* from windows explorer). This behavior is further exacerbated by the inconsistencies within the app. Sometimes, the backup works just fine. In between those times when it operates as expected, it fails frequently but not in a determinable way. Sometimes it fails 2 minutes in, sometimes 2 minutes from completing (and everywhere in between). I simply keep running the backup again and again until it succeeds. When it does succeed, the backup is perfect and Handbrake handles it brilliantly. If there are any logs from the app I can provide, I would be happy to do that. I find this software immensely valuable but feel that it is sufficiently buggy for me not to buy a commercial license. Happy to help anyway I can.

Again, each of these failures occurs at different times during the backup process, so it's not a consistent point within the data transfer (i.e., a bad sector on the disc, a physical disc problem, etc.)
