Re-ripped and played 12 and a half minutes of it with zero issues. i don't remember when we saw the first issue so I can't say it's 100% fixed but seems good so far.
Nice, that's promising. Appreciate your taking a look. I need to get my re-ripped this weekend.

I didn't have time to watch more but I thought I recall it happening within that window. Perhaps I'm wrong but hey it's encouraging.

Welp, it was a bad onboard NIC. I won't be able to join the "is it fixed?" party until Wednesday. Let's hope you guys are able to figure out if the issue is fixed before that!

I'm on v1.15.3 and always keep the program up to date but it's not done its usual 'update available' pop up when I start the program and in the about section it only shows the v1.15.3 and not the latest one being available?
I've manually downloaded the latest but any ideas why its not showing up as an 'update'? I've updated it over the past few years via the pop up so know it's not being blocked by any of my software?
Thanks

It's likely not your setup. I had to manually update as well.

Anyone know why, after I make DV/Atmos mkv and try to play it from a network, DV works through exo/xplorer but not exo/Kodi even with the "play with" mod?

Kodi is the latest 19 rls. I'm stumped. I've been trying for 3 days to fix this.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you know which player can handle mkv with DV to play on my OLED TV?

You can play DV MKV's from the Plex app on the 2019 Shield TV. This forum is a great resource, you'll find all the guides to convert rips with makemkv and get them playing on your TV.

2019 Shield
For the sake of not making the same mistake I did... focus on the 2019 Shield Pro.

I purchased the Shield tube thinking it would be the last Plex client I ever need, and it was nothing but trouble. Finally sucked it up and got a Shield TV Pro instead, and it's been flawless so far, while the $150 tube collects dust in a drawer.

I couldn't read anywhere that Shield 2019 Pro is playing mkv with dual Layer DV.
I've only read a lot about problems e.g. with color representation.

I first try out a new Bluray Player (UBK90) if it can play .m2ts or mp4 dual Layer DV from USB.

Agreed, I had the same experience when I bought the tube - had to return it and it's been mostly plain sailing with the pro

If you have dual layer mkv's you will need to use makemkv to convert to single layer.

I didn't notice the colour problems before I read about it. I'm more than happy with the image quality, others are not and that's fine.
