MKV on the UHD movie disc worked fine, but doing a full disc backup with 1.15.3 fails with a read error. Weird that the movie would work but there would be a read error somewhere else. I assume I'm the only one seeing that and so like ~50% of discs I need to exchange it?

You are not. Had the same Problems and now after updating to 1.15.4 it looks like it is working. I ran into this with the US version, so they have had issues in production or packaging that these ones got scuffed up or something. I haven't been able to get it to read after cleaning it up and even trying the car wax option. Every file but the movie itself (which is, admittedly, a bigger file than everything else combined) works fine.
