SDFtool Flasher

I've tried this one first using the new SDFtool Flasher 1.37 and using the old SDFtool Flasher
BP50NB40 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK then to > BP60NB10 1.02MK

Then I tried both ways
NB52 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with enc > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with bootloader/full flash > BP60NB10 1.00_HBD

Each time the flasher says complete no errors, but the firmware version makemkv show never changes. I've also been running the SDFtool Flasher as admin. The drive still reads blueray disk as normal. I've tried about 4 Uhd bluerays with no luck. I got the MK bin files from this link at the beginning of this post. Not really sure what I'm doing incorrectly

UPDATE - 21/12/2021:
The latest version of the SDFtool Flasher has a checkbox option to flash the boot loader with the main firmware to the drive. This is useful for the newer BP50NB40 with SVC: NB52. It's also possible that other newer models may require this option later on. We will all work it out together as we go!!

For the moment, to flash the BP50NB40 SVC:NB52, using the latest SDFtool Flasher, follw the steps below:

1. Flash the drive to BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK.

Now for the crossflash:

3. Select the RECOVERY option and in the pop up, select the BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK firmware that you just flashed.
4. Select the BP60NB10 1.00-MK firmware in the normal drop box.
5. Click START

I have done all three of these steps multiple times. The firmware version has not changed. I have tried the BP60NB10 1.02-MK firmware for the last step as well as the BP60NB10 1.00-MK. After I have opened MakeMKV to confirm firmware has changed and it remains on the BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03 firmware version. I've also tried to read about 4 UHD bluerays, none will open. I have even tried running this on two different computers with the same results. Should the version change show up under the drive info section of MakeMKV after this process is complete?

How old is your drive? What is the manufacture date on the drive?

Please post your Makemkv info. Most importantly it has to have the MT1959 chip.

And a potential issue is the enclosure if you use it via USB. Not all support flashing.

Please provide as much information as possible. Currently it's like pulling teeth....

The manufacture date on the drive is April 13, 2022. This drive was just purchased a couple of weeks ago. On the enclosure it says Model: BP50NB40 SVC Code: NB52
It is a usb drive and I'm using both the usb data and extra power connection. Voltage Rating is 5V (1.8A). The Rom Ver listed on the drive is 1.03. Below is the Makemkv info. It is the MT1959 chip.

Everything looks good so far. The only variable is the enclosure. Maybe that's the issue. What model is it?

Do you have a chance to take it out and connect directly to SATA in a desktop PC?

When you try the process I mentioned previously, do you get any error codes? Also, when flashing, make sure there is no disc in the drive. You did flash BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK to it, didn't you?

No need as SDFtool Flasher already has that fw as not encrypted. You are the one who toggled the encrypted flag when you should have left it alone.

Hello

I crossflashed my BP50NB40 and everything seemed to go smoothly, but now I can't open the drive. The light blinks after sending the 'eject' command and then stops and nothing happens. Original firmware was 1.00 went to BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK then BP60NB10 1.02MK. Did I miss something?
