Getting Scsi error on some BluRays. Use older version?

I've noticed some others have reported this particular error, and said they never had this problem before updating to v1.9.7. Can anyone confirm whether installing an older version (e.g. v1.9.6) resolved the issue?

Also, don't know whether this means anything, but every time I get this error, MakeMKV reports a much slower transfer rate (about half as slow as first attempt) on the second attempt.

Here is the error as MakeMKV reports it:

Saving 1 titles into directory A:/Video/Backup
Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '1275131904'
Error 'Internal error - Operation was cancelled (112)' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '1275131904'
Failed to save title 0 to file A:/Video/Backup/Oblivion_t00.mkv
0 titles saved, 1 failed
Saving 1 titles into directory A:/Video/Backup
Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '1239939072'
Error 'Internal error - Operation was cancelled (112)' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '1239939072'

TIA for any help.

The version number on MakeMKV does not affect errors reported by the hardware and operating system. If the OS says the drive can't read the file, the only recourse is to report it, and possibly try requesting the read again. The default is to make that request up to 5 times.

You're welcome to try an older version, though, if you still have the install file... Mike hasn't restored the version archive yet.
