I'm a newbie to using makemkv. That being said, I downloaded the free trial version and was able to figure out how to use the program, for the most part. However, when the trial period ended, I purchased a registration key so that I could continue using the program. And now, with every Bluray disc I attempt to copy to my hard drive using makemkv, I receive an error that that states that a file is corrupt, attempting a workaround. This will run down the screen dozens of times and then the program will display a message that says that 0 files were saved. Can anyone tell me how to fix this so that I can continue copying my bluray collection to my hard drives? Thanks in advance.

It would be VERY helpful to see the debug logs (see the FAQ in my signature) on this.

The "attempting workaround" is MakeMKV telling you that it encountered something weird in the data, and is applying one of several ways to get around the problem. If it is successful, no problem... If it isn't, it tries something else, until it runs out of alternatives.

What can CAUSE it to need to work around things is usually odd copy-protection schemes, but it is sometimes dirty or damaged disks. The debug logs can provide better insight into this.

P.S. I'm super new to makemkv and I'm not real sure if this qualifies as the debug logs or not. Sorry if this isn't helpful.

MakeMKV received data that wasn't as expected, and is trying to work around the problem... if it is successful, it moves on; if it isn't, it will report a failure at the end. It can be a very slow process.

Most likely cause is a damaged or dirty disk. It can also be a disk that was not pressed correctly.

Dirt and mild scratches can be dealt with using Pledge furniture polish and a soft cotton or microfiber cloth. Manufacturing defects can only be dealt with by exchanging the disk, hopefully for one not in the same manufacturing batch.

It's not dirty or damaged discs. It's every disc that I try to rip. Including discs that I've previously ripped and brand new discs as well. I've tried cleaning the discs in every known to clean them. The discs are pristine. This only started happening once I paid for the registration key. Any useful help would be much appreciated.

"Every disk" points to a drive issue. Can you borrow another drive?

Fixed it! Had some disc cleaner sitting around and gave it a spray and wiped it down with a microfiber cloth. Thanks for the help.
