Hello, I am having a go with backing up Brave from BluRay. When first opening the disc, I am presented with 3 different files, one of which is labeled (Primary Title). I have tried a couple different approaches (change title length, mix and match titles) and the result is always the same: Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:UNRECOVERED READ ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00956.m2ts' at offset '6459555840'

Your drive says it can't read part of the disk. First attempt to remedy is cleaning the disk - finger prints can cause this, as can scratches.

This is a bad disc!

Upon closer inspection after a thorough cleaning, I can see there are imperfections in the disc itself. There are strange lines at various angles, curves etc located all over the disc. Thought it had something to do with the screen print, but no. You can see it within the disc material.

I'm having the same problem but my disc is clean and the movie plays fine from the disc.

And yet, your BD drive says different - it can't read parts of the disk. Player software will IGNORE errors, but ripping software is trying to give you an exact copy

It may be that the "plays fine" portion of it is not what you're ripping as title 12. If I remember correctly, there are 3 copies of the movie on that disk, with English, Spanish, and French title sequences. If the errors are in the title sequencies, you might find one that rips just fine.

I was able to rip that title with DVDFab...

However, I went back and ripped a different version title (you're right, there are 3) and it worked. Thanks for the fast response and good advice.

I had significant issues with this Bluray, across three different physical discs.
I was finally able to get it to rip off track 200 (800mpls) with only a single audio file and single subtitle selected. Lots of errors still, but it appears to have been able to work around them. This disc definitely gets the :sadface: from me. I've not encountered this level of difficulty, especially across multiple discs, from any other title. And thats with... what, over 700 movie rips at this point.
