How do I get access to the video on the 'Ghostbusters' Blu-Ray that plays during the Slimer Mode picture-on-picture? I've looked through the various streams on the disc, but I can't seem to find it.

MakeMKV doesn't let us get to the secondary video track. I've asked for it but for now you'll have to create a backup and use eac3to to extract it from the main movie playlist.

...

I don't suppose you want to try figure out how to overlay all the JPG graphics on top of the movie or remix the audio?

Upon going through all the files in the Java directory I never managed to find the image for the border around the secondary video stream... I'm thinking maybe it's in the .bin file or something.

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't realized MakeMKV had a backup option. I've already got MeGUI, so this shouldn't be any trouble.

He said, promptly jinxing it. I got the video out fine, but MeGUI won't touch the secondary audio track that goes with it. It gives the error 'The ArcSoft decoder doesn't seem to work, unfortunately.' And MakeMKV doesn't even see the audio track I want, just the regular audio. What should I do now?

MakeMKV CAN see the secondary audio, there should be a second listing of the movie titled as an m2ts file with no chapters and the DTS Express audio as the last track. The Slimer Mode is constructed via Java and apparently that's how MakeMKV lists suspected Java titles.

You'll need the arcsoft decoder to convert it to flac (or pcm), makemkv should be able to access the dll directly, other programs need it to be installed and registered.

(I'm still trying to remember if all the image files are jpg or png or a mixture of both, either way, it would be a hell of a job reconstructing that title without being able to interpret the Java commands.)

Okay, so how do I get MakeMKV to convert the audio? I can create an MKV that contains the audio, but it's still in DTS Express format.

You get the arcsoft decoder, point makemkv at it, then use the flac profile (or write your own).

...um, if you intend to recreate even a stripped down version of the Slimer Mode, this is the easy bit. Are you sure your up for this?

Yeah, once I have the files extracted, I'm good. I've used AVISynth and MeGUI plenty. I'm just new to this whole Blu-Ray thing. Thanks for the help!

Grr. This is really frustrating. I've got the DLL, put it in the System32 directory, and pointed MakeMKV at it, but when I run either MakeMKV or eac3to, it still gives the error 'The ArcSoft decoder doesn't seem to work, unfortunately.' What could I be doing wrong?
