Support for AACS 50 is something promised for 1.8.15, which is allegedly coming soon.

Well, we know WHAT is going to be in 1.8.15, because Mike told us in this thread: http://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8424

We just don't know WHEN it is going to get here, since today is the 12th day of "a few days"...

Those of us who have hung around here a while know that Mike is not a daily visitor, and that MakeMKV is not his primary job. So delays happen. It is sometimes frustrating. When you own the disks you're ripping, a day or three doesn't matter that much; it's just an inconvenience.

But some come here for help when their rental disks won't rip, and expect immediate responses, so that they don't pay late fees. Even though the forum does not and never was intended to support such activities, it happens. For these people, it becomes a crisis.

For me, none of this is life-threatening, so I don't get worked up over it.

I agree no big deal I am patient, I appreciate all the work mike does. All the movies I own I usually don't watch right away anyways.

Have this issue too but you can always make a full disk backup via MakeMKV without decrypting – for anyone with rentals that's your solution. Just 'ripp' the copied disk later when AACS v50 support has arrived.
