Version 1.8.15 is promised "real soon now" (to quote Jerry Pournelle), with support for AACS 50. You will possibly find that your drive can no longer rip BDs, because it has been told not to allow the key used in MakeMKV. It would be worth running a test to see.

Edit: tested an older blu "The Wrestler" and a newer released blu "Kingpin" both opened fine with makemkv
