I received The Big Bang Theory, Season 7 from Amazon last week. I went to encode it like I always do and found that there were only 8 episodes on each of the 2 disks. I encoded them anyway and put them on my DROBO. Amazon was only too happy to send out another set, which I received today. Same problem. So I decided to watch one of the episodes I had encoded, and it was ALL messed up. So I put the blu-ray disk into the player and found that it had all 12 episodes and they are fine.

So MakeMKV was not only unable to encode them, it was unable to even read the disk properly. Has anyone encountered anything like this.

Encoded with MakeMKV, v 1.8.11, but have since updated to v 1.8.13 and the same problem exists in this version.

Odd. I bought Season 7 from Target last week and both discs showed all 24 episodes and encoded just fine so I know it's not endemic to all Season 7 sets.

Debug logs would be helpful, of course. Check the link in my signature for how to generate them, if you don't have debug logging already turned on (I always leave it on).

I also received mine from Amazon 8-82929-42211-1 is the bar code on the case; 8-83929-37342-0 is on the cardboard sleeve.

I get a message that the volume key is unknown for this disc.

This is v1.8.13 on an iMac running Mavericks (10.9.4); I get the same message running v1.8.13 Windows 7 in a VM on the same machine.

See below for the log ... I got a 'Sorry , the board attachment quota has been reached' when I tried to add the log file.

Can you think of any other recently released disc you've inserted into the drive prior to that one?

I've been adding a lot recently as a whole bunch of TV and movie pre-orders have arrived from Amazon... Godzilla 3D was recent, Walking Dead Season 4, Person of Interest Season 3, Once Upon A Time Season 3, Supernatural Season 9, Homeland Season 3, Revolution Season 2, Sleepy Hollow Season 1.
