Rio2 automatically ejected

I am trying to rip Rio2 but while loading the blue-ray, it spins and then ejects. I never had this happen before. Its not even allowing me to choose anything. I am using version 1.8.11 on Mac 10.9.4.
Any help much appreciated.

MakeMKV does not have an auto-eject function (it uses a manual button instead), so the operating system is saying the disk has a problem that requires ejection. This will happen if it thinks you put in something that wasn't an optical disk. It is likely that you'll get it ejected even if MakeMKV isn't running when you insert it.
Are there any cracks in the disk, by chance?
