Samsung se-506bb power solution

Has anyone found a solution to using the Samsung SE-506BB Blu-ray burner? I get the same error rates that supposedly have to do with not enough power. I have tired it connected directly to my mac mini and to a powered USB 2.0 hub (D-link). This is one of the most popular burners out there... I was hoping someone found a solution or combo that worked. Thanks!
